This is a rare and collectible antique pocket watch made by J.W. Benson of London , dated 1886 , with a sterling silver full hunter case and a classic white enamel dial featuring Roman numerals and a subsidiary seconds dial.


The key-wind lever escapement movement is engraved:

"The Ludgate Watch – J.W. Benson – Patent No. 4658 – Best London Make – By Warrant to H.M. The Queen, Ludgate Hill."
