Here for sale is a beautiful antique Swiss pocket watch dating to approximately 1900–1915 .
The watch is housed in a solid 0.935 silver case and fitted with a quality Chasserel 15 jewel lever movement , a well-regarded Swiss movement maker of the period.
The white enamel dial with Roman numerals is classic in design and features a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock . There is a small chip to the enamel around the 3–4 o’clock area , as shown clearly in the photographs, but overall the dial still presents very nicely for its age.
The watch winds smoothly and is currently running well , with a strong balance motion.
The case interior is stamped 0.935 silver and the movement is clearly signed Chasserel .
Condition summary:
• Solid 0.935 silver case
• Chasserel 15 jewel Swiss lever movement
• White enamel Roman numeral dial
• Small enamel chip near 3–4 o’clock (see photos)
• Running and keeping time
• Good overall antique condition
Occasionally stops when the case back is opened but runs well once closed. As with all vintage pocket watches I sell, it is unserviced and may benefit from a routine service.”
A lovely late Victorian / early Edwardian pocket watch and a great addition for collectors or anyone looking for an elegant antique timepiece.
Please study the photographs carefully as they form an important part of the description.
