Beautiful English sterling silver oval locket with an ornate hand-engraved floral and scroll design surrounded by a decorative patterned border.
The locket carries Birmingham assay hallmarks including the anchor and lion passant sterling silver mark. A date letter is also present; however, due to wear it is not sufficiently clear to confidently attribute an exact year, so no precise date is claimed.
The locket opens and closes correctly and retains its internal photograph compartment.
Supplied with a 925 sterling silver snake chain measuring approximately 20 inches.
